In the last 25 years I have been asked thousands and thousands of fitness related questions. Invariably the most prominent question is, with their hand patting their tummy, how do I lose this? My answer is the same every-time. Eat less (portion size in each setting), eat more often with protein and carbs combined together, and eat higher quality less processed foods.

Are you tired of doing sit ups? Then stop doing them. Sit ups are simply a painful waste of time. Thats right, no more lying on the hard floor straining your neck and lower back trying to get in a good abdominal workout. Instead of fighting through hundreds of painful sit ups there are several alternative abdominal exercises that are both more comfortable and provide faster results.

Overeating or bolting down the wrong foods can lead to bodily reactions such as excess gas and acid, bloating, and grogginess. Do you often find yourself needing an antacid after eating certain types of food? If you know what I am referring to here, the problem is most likely due to eating a diet of highly processed or over cooked food.
This type of food is indigestible, your body simply can not eliminate it efficiently. Indigestible food is food that has had all of its naturally occurring enzymes, and other healthy nutrients removed. Lack of enzymes in food is also known as denatured food. Enzymes are what causes fruit to ripen, spoil, and rot. Ever notice how margarine does not spoil or rot? No enzymes present, indigestible, not good for you.

In most of my newsletters, I like to provide a healthy snack or meal recipe that not only is delicious, but also helps to get you closer to that hard-body appearance that everyone is looking for. In this article, I’d like to give you healthy food ideas in a different way. This time, I figured I’d just give you some ideas of what I stock my kitchen with. Remember, if you don’t have junk around the house, you’re less likely to eat junk. If all you have is healthy food around the house, you’re forced to make smart choices. Basically, it all starts with making smart choices and avoiding temptations when you make your grocery store trip. Now these are just some of my personal preferences, but perhaps they will give you some good ideas that you’ll enjoy.

It is important that each and every one of us prepare to live a longer healthier life by only putting in our mouth things that will benefit us. I don’t mean just eating a lot of fruits, vegetables and grains. I mean taking a serious look at the other things we do that don’t benefit us.
* sedentary life style – oops – take a walk each and every day – to the corner if you can’t make it any further – I personally like to walk 10 miles just for the exercise.

Stress is the biggest leading cause of death in the United States. Stress is linked to causing illness by playing havoc with your body’s immune system and by causing diseases such as cancer, heart disease, and even death. Stress is a response by your body of the old fight or flight response that we as cavemen needed thousands of years ago to react to certain situations. But in today’s society we no longer need that fight or flight response. So our, bodies cause us undue stress that we have no way of getting rid of. Until today that is. By exercising we can eliminate stress from our bodies and our minds. And then we can beat all the negative effects that stress can cause our bodies and live long healthy lives.

Most of us never really give much consideration to the actual state of our intestines or gut, and the impact it can have on our general well being. After all, if you can’t see it, why worry about it?
However, although the gut’s primary function is to digest our food, it also serves to provide us with energy through the absorption of small food particles, and sends vitamins and minerals across lining of the gut into the bloodstream. It also forms a huge part in ensuring that the body is adequately detoxified and contains immunoglobins or antibodies that help to protect us against infection.

How to enhance male fertility has now become a major issue in the public. This issue of male fertility affects nearly 30% to 40% of couples, who have difficulty in conceiving a baby. A male fertility test usually reveals low sperm count or unhealthy sperm. Impotency and premature ejaculation are other reasons of concern affecting society. Both partners have to go for fertility test, if a woman fails to conceive even after repeated attempts. These tests are taken only after the doctor is convinced that enough time has elapsed, usually a year.
