Getting fit without the high expense of gym membership or fancy home exercise equipment – Part 2
Getting fit and healthy does not cost a fortune. In fact there are many ways you can get that healthy body, mind and spirit you want to achieve without costing a dime.
A great way to feel great and lose those unwanted pounds is by walking. You can walk your street, your local school track, or in your house. For great results walk 3 to 5 times per week for 30-45 minutes. For extra support invite a friend or walk with your children.
Another cost effective way to get fit is by doing simple exercises at home. Leg lifts, crunches, lunges, push ups.
Record an exercise show that is aired on TV in the morning. Play at your own convenience.
Use soups cans and filled water bottles for weights.
Use your front step or stairs for “step aerobics”. Go up and down your basement stairs extra times. Example: every time you put a load of laundry in the washer-walk up and down the stairs 3 times. Then when you put the load in the dryer-do it again.
It’s also important to keep track of your progress. Track all of your exercising. That way at the end of the week you can see what you have accomplished.
